Reservation: The Ute Mountain Ute Tribe's land is located in southwest Colorado and eastern Utah, and nortern New Mexico, and covers 993 square miles. The land is held in trust by the united States Government.
Tribal Membership: The Tribale enrollment in 2009 was 2,091 with the majority of the members living on the reservation in Tpwaoc, Colorado (Montezuma County), and in White Mesa, Utah (San Juan County).

Location: White Mesa, Utah is a small community located 12 miles south of Blanding, Utah, on Highway 191 on Tribal Trust allotted lands in southeastern Utah.

Language Family: Uto-Aztecan, part of the larger Shoshonean-speaking peoples.
Law and Order: The White Mesa Community is served by the Bureau of Indian Affairs - Law Enforcement Service which provides police protection on the reservation.
